Big improvement over the first edition
I just watched both the original Classic Album version and this new and improved edition, and found this new release to be far superior in both sound and picture. The new version has over twenty minutes of bonus footage that is entertaining and revealing. In particular; the added material with Eddie Kramer at the mixing board is just amazing as he shares some early demos and compares them with the finished works, which gives one an insiders look into the artistic and creative process. This edition gives an entertaining and insightful look into the making of one of rock and roll's greatest records by a musician at his creative peak. The sound quality of the new version is a giant leap from the earlier version, and the packaging is also much improved with some great photos from the period. I can easily give this version my highest recommendation.
Amazing
I really like this DVD. I find it so great that they go into only this album and this time period for Jimi. It's cool to get a run through of each song and also you get to see them on tour. LOVE it. Also, HUGE fans check out this fan pack for Jimi that you can purchase on Amazon.[...]
45 Years Later, and It's Still In Vogue
All these years later, having listened to Electric Lady Land until the groves wore out, it was wonderful to be able to see the "behind the scenes" workings of the making of the record. Watching, as Eddie Kramer isolates the original tracks, allowing us all to hear Jimi singing and playing "in the raw" is an awesome sight and sound to behold. I've watched this DVD over and over again, savoring every moment.
